Our Track Record

The following examples demonstrate the positive outcomes we have achieved for our clients.

Example 1 – Patrick Stevedores at Gladstone
SMRS conducted a safety audit of Patrick Stevedores at Gladstone in 2003 which resulted in a two-star rating (five-star system). We developed new systems and worked alongside the management team to keep them on track and ensure the systems were implemented. To do this we ran health checks each month, set targets for the safety team to reach, and continually monitored their performance. Two years later the site was re-audited independently and received a five-star rating.

Example 2 – Phoenix Drilling
At the beginning of 2006, SMRS implemented a safety and health management system for Phoenix Drilling. This system was audited and received commendation from Anglo Coal due to the compliance of all documentation and systems against Anglo Coal benchmarks.

SMRS has been working with Dawson and Moranbah to develop their safety and health management plan and Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC) management procedures. This is currently being rolled out across the two sites involving up to 40 employees.

Example 4 – Broadlea Coal
In April 2007, SMRS facilitated a risk workshop for drilling activities at Broadlea Coal''s Carborough Downs project. The workshop was between Broadlea and representatives of the contracted drilling companies (seven participants). Topics included site preparation, mobilisation, vehicle movements around site, gas ignition, and general drilling activities. All parties signed a risk assessment and completed action plans to mitigate future risks.
