Field OHS Officer
As a Field OHS Officer you will be based in central Queensland, working with our clients on their large scale exploration projects. Applicants for this role will have OHS qualifications or be working towards them; preferably you are already working in the mining or drilling industry, perhaps as a Driller, Drilling Supervisor, or OHS Coordinator.
Field OHS Officer duties will include:-
- FIFO field based work roster of 14/7
- On-site safety leadership
- Conducting drill rig and plant inspections on-site
- Facilitating on-site training workshops
- Liaising with clients on a daily basis
- Systems implementation and auditing
- Administrative duties involving OHS systems development, management and reviews.
Must have:
- Qld Coal Core Generic Induction
- Mine Site Safety Supervisor competency
- Recent and relevant OHS related experience
- Current First Aid / CPR qualifications
- Current Coal Board Medical assessment
- Relevant field work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Out-going and friendly personality
- Self-motivated, can work autonomously and manage own work schedule.
Preferred:
- Workplace trainer and assessor qualifications
- Drilling industry experience
- Knowledge of mine site rules and protocols
- Knowledge of OHS and Mining Legislation and Standards.
